In 1954 Master Stonemason, Alphonse Van den Kerkhof arrived from Belgium and began working his trade on a wide variety of residential and restoration projects in Vancouver. Son, Eric, joined his father in the stonemasonry trade in 1969 to begin serving an extensive apprenticeship in all facets of stone construction and fabrication.

Adera Natural Stone Supply began in 1989 by Eric, who felt there was a need for a reliable source for good quality stone in Western Canada. Adera Natural Stone has enjoyed growth in both the Canadian and US markets.

The third generation is well on it's way with Eric's daughter Kristina heading the Stone Tile Dept. and son Shaun, a journeyman stone mason with Van den Kerkhof & Son Masonry.  General Manager Ryan Euverman has worked his way up from splitting stone on the rock pile to becoming Adera's well respected General Manager.
